Anissa Gordon

~ Dance Director ~

Anissa received her Associate in Art from Dean College where she majored in dance.  While attending Dean she performed as part of the Dean Dance Company and was involved in many other dance performances.  Anissa was also accepted in the Alvin Ailey Intensive Program in 1997.  After receiving her degree from Dean she decided to further her dance training at the Hartford Conservatory of Dance and Music.  At the Conservatory Anissa endured a vigorous weekly dance schedule under highly qualified teachers.  She majored in Dance Pedagogy and received her diploma.

Anissa danced in various performances during her years in Connecticut.  She performed in conjunction with many renowned companies such as Momix and the Nutmeg Ballet.  Anissa has taught at numerous dance studios throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts.  She has also taught classes at the Hartford Conservatory and Eastern Connecticut State College.  She has choreographed for dance competitions and won various awards.  She has also choreographed for the cover band Glamour Girls of Sho Productions in Wethersfield, Connecticut.

Anissa became a member of the professional dance company Synergy which is based out of Connecticut and was founded in 1998.  While dancing with Synergy she performed at the Connecticut Forum, The Bushnell in Hartford and performed in shows with many other elite dance companies.  Along with teaching and performing, Anissa has taken master classes under Frank Hatchett, Brenda Buffalino, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Denise Jefferson of Alvin Ailey and several others.

Being able to experience both teaching and performing has molded Anissa into a well rounded dance educator.

 ~ BETHANY GRESH ~

Miss Bethany is a graduate from C.W. Post Long Island University where she received her BFA in Dance Studies.  While attending C.W. Post Bethany performed with the Post Concert Dance Company and Post Dance Team.  She also had the privilege of performing and choreographing for the American College Dance Festival.  During her four years at college Bethany worked with several distinguished companies, such as The Limon Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Momix and Alvin Ailey Dance Company.  Bethany has also taught classes at Great Neck Arts Center in New York and Platinum Dance Academy in New Jersey.  Bethany continues to teach dance to all ages and levels throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts.  



   ~ MARYBETH McCARTHY ~

Miss Marybeth is a graduate from Assumption College where she received her Bachelor of Art.  After receiving her Bachelors, she furthered her education at Springfield College and received her Masters in Education.  Marybeth has danced as a member of the Roger Williams Dance Company, Rhode Island, and Company X of Worcester.  Marybeth has been teaching dance for fifteen years to all ages and levels throughout the Worcester area.  She has choreographed for a variety of dance competitions and won awards for her choreography.  She has extensive dance training with preschool and toddler ages.  Marybeth's warm and engaging personality encourages her students of all ages to
reach their full dance potential.
